The SOLAREZ Sponge-Rez gives you the best way to keep you and your Bodyboard surfing great. When you get damage to the outer layers of your board Sponge-Rez is the best repair option. The Solarez formula gives you the strongest, long-lasting repair with no mixing. It goes on straight out of the tube.

Sponge-Rez is applied like a thick liquid glue. So it’s great for filling in holes or being spread over larger areas, for example where your slick has delaminated. It will address a number of repairs: worn-out leash plug areas; creased bottoms; delaminated decks, hulls or rails; sponge-deck or rash-deck where your deck starts to flake off; semi-fatal gouges and dings.

The resin works great across a wide range of Bodyboard and similar materials such as: Ethafoam; Surlyn that’s used for your Bodyboard’s slick; EVA, Vinyl, and Arcel. It will also work across materials not associated with Bodyboards. For example cracked and degrading swim fins even if they’ve gone floppy can have their stiffness and thrust restored. Apply Sponge-Rez liberally over porous areas so that it soaks in. For deep holes and larger areas use a spreader.

Once applied a skin will appear over the resin within 10-15 minutes. Touch dry in around 2 hours, complete cure strength is achieved in 24 hours. Note this is not a UV product. It should not come in contact with EPS foam or EPS Bodyboard cores. The Rez dries clear, becoming semi-rigid while still maintaining flexibility.
